OUR TEAM

JANET NGUYEN

CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER

Every company needs a leader with their eyes on the ‘big picture’ and it’s Janet’s vision that’s the driving force behind iiM.

Janet has over 20 years at the cutting edge of private banking in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore. Before starting iiM she forged a highly successful career as a private banker servicing high net worth individuals and institutions... working for companies like UBS, iPac, Westpac, and GIO.

She has a degree in Economics and Finance, a Diploma of Financial Planning and is a Certified Financial Planner, holding Financial Planning Licences in Australia, Hong Kong and Singapore.

Janet was one of the first women to penetrate private banking in Australia and since being lured to Asia has developed a reputation as one of the regions most astute portfolio managers with unheard-of client loyalty and retention rates. She’s also a skilled Forex trader.

Janet speaks English and Vietnamese and mixes the unlikely pursuits of snowboarding and playing guitar.

DAVID NG

DIRECTOR

The skills that make a great chess player... forward planning, strategic analysis and logical thinking... also make David a vital player in iiM’s Corporate Finance team.  He’s a bit of a ‘number cruncher’ who’s instrumental in identifying, analysing and driving through corporate finance solutions for our clients.

David has impressive formal credentials (MBA, Masters and Bachelor degrees in Accounting and Economics and a Chartered Accounting designation), which are nicely balanced by 25 years of hands-on experience in established Multi-National Corporations as well as challenging Start-ups.  He’s worked in industries as diverse as Pharmaceuticals, Media, Consumer Products, Intellectual Property, Investment Banking and Accounting.  He’s had senior roles at ASLAN Pharmaceuticals, Invida, Viacom, Mediaedge:cia, Bankers Trust and Andersen.

In keeping with iiM’s philosophy “to be outstanding you have to be different”, David has a passion for working with Start-ups that champion disruptive thinking based on solid market analysis.  To ensure his own thinking is constantly fresh, David embraces continuous learning and setting running PB’s all the while striving to sharpen his chess game.

JOANNE LIM

DIRECTOR

Joanne believes life is all about making the right choices.  She carries that philosophy through into business.  Its a vital part of what makes her such a successful private banker at such a young age and what enables her to deliver impressive results for her portfolio of loyal clients.

A serial ‘high achiever’, Joanne excelled in her previous positions with ANZ Singapore and Kim Eng Securities and continues to extend her skills and experience at iiM.  Backed by a Bachelor of Business with a Finance specialization, Joanne has extensive knowledge in trading equities and Forex and hands-on training in analysing market outlooks.  Her impressive communication skills have allowed her to develop a strong network of analysts and institutional dealers to leverage off.

But what makes Joanne stand out is her ability to build close relationships with her clients, identify their individual needs and objectives and deliver tailor-made solutions for them.

For someone who is a self-confessed ‘workaholic’, Joanne still manages to find the time to enjoy wake-boarding, netball and thumping out rhythms on her bass guitar.
